Bandelier National Monument, located in Northern New Mexico, will offer an amazing opportunity to witness a solar eclipse on Sunday, May 20.  “The last solar eclipse in the United States occurred in 1994, this will truly be a once in a lifetime experience,” said Superintendent Jason Lott.

A Quick Weekend Getaway to Taos

My wife and I decided we needed to get out of town overnight. We didn't want to spend a lot of time in the car so we decided to head to Taos and hit some of the museums we hadn't seen yet.

We called and got last minute reservations at the Sagebrush Inn, which is a funky historic adobe hotel on the left as you are driving into Taos from the South (a little before the Wal-Mart). A Day Trip Excursion by Rail

My wife and I decided to take an excursion down to Albuquerque for the afternoon on the Rail Runner a while back. We parked in downtown Santa Fe at the Rail Yard in the new underground parking lot. It cost a buck to park all day.

We took the short walk to the train depot and jumped on board at 11:20 a.m. Upstairs in the train there are groupings of four seats that face each other with a narrow table in between.
