FTC Takes Action on Misleading Sports Equipment

WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Tom Udall, D-N.M., joined Commerce Committee Chairman John D. Rockefeller today to commend the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for taking action against a company for making marketing claims about its product’s ability to reduce the risk of concussions that were not supported by sound scientific evidence.

Bingaman to Address LANL Employees Monday

WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Jeff Bingaman will be in Los Alamos Monday, Aug. 13 and will address Los Alamos National Laboratory employees.
 
Bingaman will talk about the economy, the federal deficit and what Congress can do to address these issues, among other things.
 
Bingaman will also attend a reception hosted by the Los Alamos Historical Society at the Los Alamos Historical Museum to talk about a bill he has introduced to designate Manhattan Project sites around the country as National Historical Parks.
