Half Price Sale Wednesday At United Church Thrift Shop

Everything, except jewelry, will be half-price, 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the United Church Thrift Shop this Wednesday, Dec. 17.

This will be the last sale day of 2025, being closed on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Close to downtown, the Thrift Shop is in the 2500 block of Canyon Road, across from the Los Alamos Nature Center.

Taos Singer-songwriter Max Gomez returns to Los Alamos Dec. 28 to perform at Fuller Lodge as part of the Live in Los Alamos’ concert series.

Gomez, who is touring for his latest album, Memory Mountain, is bringing his friends to his holiday show.

While billed as a holiday concert, the bulk of tunes will come from Gomez’s extensive collection of originals, including the song, New Mexico, which Lathrop recommends to anyone who has had an encounter with someone a bit ignorant about the 47th state. Read More
