Santa Fe Community Foundation Announces New Chair And Six Board Members

SANTA FE — The Santa Fe Community Foundation (SFCF), the largest nonprofit funder In New Mexico, is pleased to announce the appointment of a new chair and six new members to its board of directors.

Dion Silva, Regional President of Enterprise Bank & Trust, will step into a two-year term as board chair Oct. 5, 2023. He has served on the Foundation’s board of directors since October 2021 and will succeed Deborah Holloway as chair.

ALBUQUERQUE — New Mexico Workers’ Compensation Administration (WCA) Director Robert E. Doucette, Jr., announced the vacancy of one administrative law judge position in the agency’s Albuquerque office.

New Mexico Unemployment Rate 3.6 Percent In July 2023

New Mexico’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.6 percent in July, up from 3.5 percent in June and unchanged from the rate in the previous year.

The national unemployment rate in July was 3.5 percent, down from 3.6 percent in June and unchanged from the rate in July 2022.

Total nonagricultural payroll employment grew by 26,400 jobs, or 3.1 percent, between July 2022 and July 2023. The majority of gains came from the private sector, which was up 18,300 jobs, or 2.7 percent. The public sector was up 8,100 jobs, or 4.8 percent.
