RPLA Announces Constitution Day Dinner Oct. 14

Nationwide, there is a growing effort to undermine parental authority, rights, and responsibilities. The issue of parental rights is front and center for the upcoming Constitution Day Dinner hosted by the Republican Party of Los Alamos (RPLA) on Saturday, Oct. 14.

Please join us for our special event at Cottonwood on the Greens, 4244 Diamond Drive. Our program starts at 5 p.m. with Mingle, Cash Bar and Silent Auction. At 6 p.m., there will be a dinner with a taco bar buffet, non-alcoholic beverage and dessert.

Lab retirees (and potential retirees) are invited to drop in at the Laboratory Retiree Group (LRG) monthly breakfast social, 8:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3 at Muy Salsas at 1315 Trinity Dr.

LRG will pay for your coffee and tea. Individuals will pay for their breakfast and other drinks.

Ahead of National Cheese Toast Day, Sept. 15, Flour Sack Towels has revealed America’s favorite cheese state by state. New Mexicans favor queso fresca, according to the study.

The study, which is based on Google Trends data from January 2023 to July 2023, revealed that among the most listed, 27 different types of cheese were evident.

Scenes From Cowboy Breakfast Today At Posse Lodge

A line of hungry people wait outside the Los Alamos County Sheriff’s Posse Lodge this morning for the monthly Cowboy Breakfast at 650 North Mesa Road. The breakfasts are held the first Sunday of each month and benefit different non-profit organizations. The fee for breakfast, which is $10 for adults and $5 for children younger than 10, gets patrons an all-you-can-eat breakfast.
