Los Alamos National Laboratory retirees (and potential retirees) are invited to drop in at the Laboratory Retiree Group (LRG) monthly breakfast social 8:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7 at Muy Salsas at 1315 Trinity Dr.
LRG pays for coffee and tea and attendees pay for their breakfast and other drinks.

Did you know that for the last nine months the Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization (LARSO) chefs have been making more than 175 lunches a day out of our White Rock Senior Activity Center kitchen? More than 80 of those meals are delivered to homebound seniors in both Los Alamos and White Rock. The rest are served to members and visitors in the White Rock Cafeteria or were part of a grab-n-go program while our Betty Ehart Kitchen has been under renovation.

Inaugural Pajarito Oktoberfest Draws Large Crowd
The inaugural Pajarito Oktoberfest drew a large crowd Saturday to Pajarito Mountain. Pajarito Mountain and TCR Productions teamed up to produce this all-around win for the community. This collaboration yielded the Pajarito Mountain Run 10K, which benefits the Los Alamos High School Cross Country Team. Poblano chile is a new pepper variety on our farm. We tested them this year and had about a dozen plants on the far edge of the field near the Big Jims. They are originally from Puebla, Mexico and were cultivated thousands of years ago long before the Spanish arrived. They are a beautiful dark green and their shape is wide and flat making them ideal for stuffing.
