County Invites Community To Share Input On Bayo Canyon Trailhead Improvements March 24 At Fuller Lodge

Los Alamos County, in partnership with landscape architecture firm Groundwork Studio, invites community members to attend a public meeting to provide input on planned renovations at the Bayo Canyon Trailhead.

The meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in the Pajarito Room at Fuller Lodge. Residents, trail users, and community groups are encouraged to attend and share feedback about how the site is currently used and what improvements could better serve the community.

RL Leeder, working for Pavilion Construction, contractor of the Hill Apartments and the Realignment of 35th Street at Trinity Drive (NM-502), will be performing the following work beginning on March 17: Construction activities will take place within the center median at the new pedestrian refuge island just west of 35th Street and Trinity Drive. Los Alamos County invites residents, business owners, community partners, and members of the local workforce to participate in the Plan Los Alamos Community Survey, open through April 3.

The survey is part of the County’s 2026 Comprehensive Plan Update and will help guide future decisions related to land use, housing, transportation, infrastructure, and economic development.

Los Alamos County is now accepting applications for eligible candidates for appointment for two vacant seats on the Personnel Board. The vacancies are a three-year term, expiring March 31, 2029.
