A line of hungry people wait outside the Los Alamos County Sheriff’s Posse Lodge this morning for the monthly Cowboy Breakfast at 650 North Mesa Road. The breakfasts are held the first Sunday of each month and benefit different non-profit organizations. The fee for breakfast, which is $10 for adults and $5 for children younger than 10, gets patrons an all-you-can-eat breakfast. Sunday’s breakfast benefits the Sheriff’s Posse, the stewards of the historical lodge at 650 North Mesa Road. The Posse is a non-profit organization supporting the community since 1951. In addition to hosting the monthly charity breakfasts, the lodge is available for rent for community events and meetings. Visit lasheriffsposse.com.
