The New Mexico Museum of Space History in Alamogordo offers a variety of space related exhibits and facilities such as space history, the International Space Hall of Fame, the John P. Strapp Air and Space Park, The Clyde W. Tombaugh Education Center, the New Horizons Dome Theater and Planetarium and more.

We recently explored the museum and space park one afternoon and the education center and planetarium on a second visit.

LANL Technology: This and other LANL displays are included in the Clyde W. Tombaugh Education Center. The displays cover a wide range of space activity including some that LANL is working on. Nike Ajax: The Nike Ajax surface-to-air missile with launcher sits in the John P. Strapp Air and Space Park located outdoors nest to the museum. Rocket Engine: An F-1 Rocket Engine is another of the many items on display in the Air and Space Park. This engine is the most powerful single chamber, liquid-fuel rocket engine ever flown.
