Raymond Peter Wagner May 24, 1934 – Sept 7, 2024

Raymond Peter Wagner, 90, of Peoria, Arizona, passed away Sept. 7, 2024 after a short battle with infection.

Raymond was born on May 24, 1934 to Peter and Gertrude Wagner in Chicago. After graduating from DePaul Academy, he went on to study  Chemistry at Loyola of Chicago and further study at Carnegie Melon University for his Doctorate.

Raymond met the love of his life Mary while attending a friend’s wedding and they lived happily together in places such as Chicago, IL; Oklahoma City, OK; Los Alamos, NM and Merritt Island, FL until her death in 2003.

Raymond spent the majority of his career happily working at Los Alamos National Laboratory. After retiring from the Laboratory in 1993, Raymond kept his promise to his wife Mary to move to Florida and they spent the remainder of their lives living in Merritt Island, Florida and traveling across the country visiting family and friends until his health required him to move closer to his children in 2020.

Raymond was predeceased by his loving wife Mary and his youngest daughter Hope.

Raymond is survived by children Monique, Mark and David along with 13 Grandchildren (Tiffany, Mike, Holly, Angela, Samantha, Ryan, Shi, Taylor, Jordan, Terri, Daniel, Kaylee, Mike) and 6 Great Grandchildren (Abby, Annie, Tom, Robyn, Wolfgang, Leon).

Raymond will be buried next to his loving wife Mary in Florida.
