MYRNA ELLEN DROSS Jan. 28, 1934 – May 2, 2025

Myrna Ellen Dross passed away in her sleep in Rio Rancho. She was 91. She and her husband Allen Edward Dross were together for 50 years until his passing in 2005. She was born Myrna Ellen Bly in Billings, Montana on January 28, 1934.

She is preceded in death by one daughter Karen Ann Dross and her husband Allen Edward Dross and her sister Mary Helen Hanto.

She is survived by her other two children Laura Kay Zahn (65) and Douglas Edward Dross (60).

She will be remembered for her love for her church and its music, hummingbirds and her iris. Her favorite thing to do was to go camping and bird watching. She enjoyed her “grand dog Yorkies” and would always talk to them and feed them treats.

She and her husband Allen were longtime residents of White Rock. They moved here with their daughter Laura in 1961. They were one of the first families to live in White Rock.

There will be a private graveside service at Guaje Pines Cemetery at 1 p.m., Thursday May 15. It will be followed by a celebration of life at her church, White Rock Methodist Church located at 580 Meadow Lane, White Rock, NM 87547, at 3 p.m. Friends and family are invited to attend.
