Louis was born in Harrison, Arkansas, in 1950 to Stanley Rosocha and Wladyslawa “Lottie” Zarkowski Rosocha, and raised in Yellville, Arkansas.

 

He attended the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville), receiving his BS in physics in 1972.
