LANL News:

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) will be repaving East Jemez Road from the N.M. 4 intersection (mile marker 10) to the start of the three lanes and the climbing lane (mile marker 7.6). Drivers should anticipate traffic delays and potential traffic pattern shifts during this project.

Los Alamos Police Cmdr. Chris Ross said, “With increased congestion and delays expected during this project, we remind everyone to stay patient and drive safely. Allow extra time for your commute, stay alert, avoid distractions, and obey posted speed limits as well as traffic control signs and flaggers. Your attention to safety helps keep drivers and road crews safe.”

Work is tentatively scheduled to begin on Sept. 7, 2025, and is expected to be completed by the end of September. Work hours will be 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week.
