Lone Piñon Performs At Coronado Historic Site July 14

NMHS News:

Coronado Historic Site will host a concert with New Mexico favorites, Lone Piñon, as they perform traditional New Mexican music 2-4 p.m. Sunday, July 14.

Lone Piñon is a collective of four expert musicians who travel the country and world performing their collaborative interpretation of the New Mexico musical traditions they have learned from elder culture-bearers.

They will take the audience on a musical journey through the New Mexican musical landscape—through several centuries of bailes, wedding parties, fandangos, and fiestas that have shaped the state’s musical inheritance. Admission is $7/adults. Free to children 16 and younger, Museum of New Mexico Foundation members, Friends of Coronado and Jemez members, Native/Tribal affiliations, Blue Star Museum active-duty military families, disabled veterans, and foster families.

Tickets are available online at https://my.nmculture.org/32482/32487.

Coronado Historic Site offers a concert that celebrates the distinctly New Mexican landscape where the edges of cultures, ethnic groups and civilizations overlap.
