
EVOG News:
The Española Valley Opera Guild (EVOG) invites the public to their annual winter gathering, POSOLE MIO 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18.
This festive event is a fundraiser for EVOG that features homemade posole and desserts and a wine and cider cash bar by Black Mesa Winery. Guests will also be able to enter a fun raffle and bid on silent auction items which will include original art and gift certificates to area restaurants and resorts.
Entertainment will include live mariachi music by Mariachi Euforia during the food and drink service between 1 and 2 p.m. At 2 p.m. guests will move into the theater for vocal performances by baritone Carlos Archuleta, soprano Christina Martos and their daughter Marina Archuleta, all accompanied by renowned pianist, Nathan Salazar.
The Pojoaque Valley High School girls choir, Bella Voce, will then perform under the direction of Devin DeVargas. These vocal performances will be followed by the Moving Art Espanola Folkorico Dancers.
Rounding out the afternoon will be 10-year-old soloist, Alani Rae Unzueta who will perform one song accompanied by her father on the piano. The Raffle and Silent Auction winners will be awarded following the performance.
The Española Valley Opera Guild is one of five guilds comprising The Guilds of the Santa Fe Opera, Inc. and we are proud to support the Community Outreach programs of the SFO.
