COUNTY News:
As part of the ongoing project to install a new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system at the Los Alamos Golf Course Clubhouse, a 50-ton crane will mobilize through town today, Feb. 11.
The crane will travel via N.M. 502/East Road to Trinity Drive and Diamond Drive before arriving at 4244 Diamond Drive.
Mobilization is scheduled at non-peak hours between 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. to minimize disruptions to travelers.
The west end of the Los Alamos Golf Course parking lot will be closed, 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., for crane maneuvers. All crane operations will be contained within the golf course west parking lot area. See the map below. The east end of the parking lot will remain open for customers visiting the Pro Shop, which will maintain normal business hours during the installation.
Once the HVAC equipment is in place, the crane will demobilize in reverse order on the same day. The parking lot closure will be lifted immediately after the crane departs.
Residents and visitors are urged to use caution near the staging area to ensure safety during the crane lift. Los Alamos County appreciates the public’s patience as this facility upgrade is completed.
