Horse Shelter Hosts Dinner To Support 71 Rescues

SANTA FE — To celebrate its’ 12th year rescuing, saving and providing sanctuary for horses, The Horse Shelter (THS) is hosting its 10th annual philanthropic Equine Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27 at Restaurant Martin.

The five-course, wine paired meal is created specifically for the event by Chef Martin Rios, an eight-time James Beard finalist for Best Chef of the Southwest.

Toni Batha, a graduate of Union College in Schenectady, NY, described her recent experiences serving in the Peace Corps in the southwestern African nation of Namibia during a presentation Jan. 10 to the Rotary Club.
