Pajarito Greenhouse in White Rock is open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Work is underway on making contacts and seeking interest from potential additional retail tenants for the Trinity Site Revitalization Project to complement the Smith’s Marketplace store.

After 19 years as a preschool and 29 years as an afterschool program through White Rock United Methodist Church (WRUMC), Horizons Preschool and Daycare is becoming its own entity.

Vehicle Plows into McDonalds
A vehicle crashed into the front wall of McDonald’s at 1247 Trinity Dr. this morning. People were sitting at tables eating on the other side of the wall where the impact occurred. Employees said no one was injured and that they believe the 95-year-old driver was parked and he inadvertently put the car in drive rather than reverse and stepped on the accelerator when attempting to leave the restaurant. Renowned Scientist George Cowan Has Died

Internationally renowned scientist George A. Cowan has died.
Cowan was a scientist, philanthropist and businessman who conducted early research for the Manhattan Project and went on to found Los Alamos National Bank and the Santa Fe Institute.
Los Alamos National Laboratory issued the following statement today on the death of the Laboratory’s Senior Fellow.
