JOHN PAUL PACHECO Sep. 8, 1982-July 23, 2013

John Paul Pacheco, 30, a resident of El Guache, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his mother Geraldine Pacheco, maternal grandmother Emma Gurule and uncle Herman Gurule.

John was a mechanic and loved being outdoors, riding dirt bikes, four wheeling and mud bogging. He also enjoyed spending time with his sons at monster trucks and playing and teaching them about cars and taught them to drive the bobcat. John had a big and open heart and showed it through his emotion and big hugs he would give you.

Many of my posture alignment clients suffer from painful lower back conditions – sciatica, bulging or herniated discs, SI joint dysfunction, stenosis, etc.

Upon examination I find that their hips have restricted movement. The hips and lower back are connected though the pelvis. Your hip muscles attach to the pelvis from below and the lower back muscles attach to the pelvis from above. Tight hips can lead to compensations in the back that can cause pain and injury.

Kiwanis Fireworks ‘Best Seat in the House’ Winners

Sonja and Karin of Los Alamos were the big winners at the Kiwanis 4th of July Celebration. They had the winning ticket for the Best Seat in the House. The two Los Alamos youngsters’ prize was to sit near the firing line with Kiwanis volunteers to experience the fireworks from a vantage point few get to witness. Romero Records Twofold First Place in Weekly Pace Race

Ted Romero was the top predictor as well as the fastest finisher in the three mile race in the weekly pace race Tuesday in hot, dusty conditions with a bit of smoke from the fires in the area on the sewage treatment plant access road in lower Bayo Canyon.

 
Romero was 16 seconds off his predicted time recording a 20:56 finish time. David Kratzer and Zach Medin were tied for second best predictor at 32 seconds off their predicted time.

Salute to Senior Service Honors Morrie Pongratz
