Ten Artists Will Represent Los Alamos Creative District

The Los Alamos Creative District is accepting applications from artists interested in representing this community at downtown Albuquerque’s Centennial Summerfest June 16.

Ten of the applicants will be selected for the 100 for 100 art show and competition.

The Centennial Summerfest is expected to be heavily attended and will include a variety of arts, food and entertainment venues.

One hundred artists from Albuquerque and New Mexico’s other five state recognized arts and culture districts, including Los Alamos will form an artists market throughout the event.

Blue Window Hosts Wine Tasting March 4

Blue Window Bistro features wine-tasting March 4

The Blue Window Bistro will offer a Wine Tasting featuring the wines of Italy, from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, March 4.

Certified Sommelier Ben Niedleman and guest connoisseur Tom Hill will provide information and suggestions on tasting.

n honor of its 100th year of statehood, the New Mexico Museum of History is requesting first-person accounts of life in 2012.

Los Alamos residents are invited to write a letter about:

  • Where you live and what you do
  • What worries you
  • What give you hope
  • What makes NM your home place and your heart place
