Los Alamos County & Step Up Gallery Put Out Call For Art

STEP UP GALLERY News:

The 2nd biennial Los Alamos County Employee Art Showcase will run Dec. 4 to Jan. 7, 2026, in Step Up Gallery at Mesa Public Library.

This year, retired Los Alamos County employees are invited, as well as current employees, to submit art they create, including photography.

The official “Call for Art (CFA)” for this exhibit will go out the first week of September. The instructions on how to submit art will be included in the CFA. Sax Atomix To Play At Dinnertime Saturday At Beef & Leaf

The SaxAtomix will be performing Saturday, June 21, during dinnertime on the patio of the Beef & Leaf Cafe at 3801 Arkansas Ave. The program will feature a mix of music, including big band classics, Latin favorites, jazz standards, ballads, and more. The not-to-be-missed art exhibit “Earth is the Magnet of the Sky” opens Friday in Step Up Gallery at Mesa Public Library, with an opening reception, 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 14.

The accomplished artist Catherine Eaton Skinner will give a gallery talk at 2:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and all are welcome to attend.
