Los Alamos County has an impressive art collection; from the abstract to the realistic, the County has a vast array of sculptures and paintings displayed throughout its facilities and spaces.

Fraud Alert: Scam Phone Calls Impersonating Law Enforcement

LAPD News:

The Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) has recently received numerous reports from citizens about fraudulent phone calls.

The caller, a male, falsely claims to be from the Los Alamos Sheriff’s Department and states that there is an outstanding warrant that must be paid.

Please be advised: This is a scam.

If people receive a similar call, hang up immediately and do not provide any personal or financial information.

No legitimate representative from the Police Department, Sheriff’s Office, or the courts will ever call to request payment for a warrant.
