The 3rd World Posole Cooking Championships returns to New Mexico Friday and Saturday Oct. 5-6, outdoors at Tesuque Casino in Santa Fe.
Live entertainment and an arts and crafts fair are also featured. All events are free and open to all ages.
More than $6,000 in prize money, as well as traditional Native American awards, are set to be awarded in both the public cooking competition on Saturday and the restaurant division on Sunday.
The Flashbacks, The Lumbros and the Dickie Cordova duo will be performing. Tasting kits for the posole will be available both days with proceeds to the Tesuque Pueblo senior and youth programs.
