WILTON HENRY PARSONS March 30, 1944 – Aug. 13, 2024
It’s with sadness that our family announces the passing of Wilton Parsons on August 13, 2024. He passed away after a challenging battle with Parkinson’s. He was born on March 30, 1944 in Moline Illinois.
He grew up with his 3 siblings, Linda, Charles, and Mary in Moline Illinois. Will was an avid athlete and played several sports during his youth. Will graduated high school and went on to college at Hiram where he obtained a degree in History.
He then went on to the Army as an officer and served in Vietnam as an interrogation officer learning to speak fluent Vietnamese. He earned several medals for his conduct and service.
Following service he worked for Los Alamos National Bank in both Santa Fe and Los Alamos. He was chief of staff for a division at Los Alamos National Laboratory for 15 years.
Will and Sheryl moved to Albuquerque in 2004. They joined Albuquerque Country Club and were avid golfers. Will served on the Board of Directors and various other committees.
He is survived by his wife, Sheryl Parsons, daughter Hallie Bradford; two grandchildren, Zachary and Isla; son Jaret McDonald and Ozzy, the very lovable family dog.
A celebration of life is planned for Will from 3-5 p.m. on Sept. 28, 2024 at the Albuquerque Country Club.
