The Los Alamos Historical Society (LAHS) is thankful to everyone who attended its “Meeting of the Members” and final lecture May 14, 2024.
The Lecture Series ended on a high note with an educational presentation from Nancy Bartlit and Dr. John Hopkins. They provided insight into the complexities of Imperial Japan’s culture during World War II, shedding light on their delayed surrender. Dr. Hopkins provided a detailed lecture of Japan’s nuclear weapons program, filtering fact from fiction.
LAHS is grateful for the support of its attendees throughout the season and look forward to the next series of lectures. A new lineup of lectures begins in September.
