Visitors of all ages can connect to the history of Bosque Redondo Memorial at Fort Sumner Historic Site during the Fiber Fair 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2024.
This interactive event includes live demonstrations and hands-on wool working activities using sheared wool from the site’s flock of Navajo Churro Sheep.
The day’s festivities will include various activity stations, sheep viewing, food trucks provided by the Friends of Bosque Redondo Memorial, and more. Admission is $7/adult. Free for children 16 and younger. Please call 575.355.2573 for more information or visit nmhistoricsites.org/bosque-redondo.
Directions: Bosque Redondo Memorial at Fort Sumner Historic Site, 3647 Billy the Kid Dr., Fort Sumner, NM 88119, I-40 to Santa Rosa, south on US 84 to the village of Fort Sumner. Take Hwy 60/84 3 miles east of Fort Sumner, then south 3.5 miles on Billy the Kid Drive to the Historic Site.
