DNCU News:
RIO RANCHO — Del Norte Credit (DNCU) Union announced today the grand opening of its Southern Financial Center, the credit union’s ninth branch location, marking another milestone in its continued growth across New Mexico. A community-wide Grand Opening celebration will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 24, at the new Southern Financial Center, 2518 Southern Blvd. SE in Rio Rancho.
This expansion represents more than a new location—it reflects DNCU’s mission of Improving Lives by increasing access to financial resources and strengthening relationships within the communities it serves.
“At Del Norte Credit Union, everything comes back to our mission of Improving Lives,” said Deb Salazar, Chief Experience Officer of Del Norte Credit Union. “This expansion is more than just a new location—it’s a place where we can connect with our community and create more opportunities for people to thrive. Rio Rancho is close to our hearts, and we can’t wait for more people to experience the DNCU Difference.”
As the credit union’s ninth branch, the Southern Financial Center underscores Del Norte Credit Union’s strategic growth and long-term investment in New Mexico communities. President and CEO John Molenda emphasized the importance of expanding in ways that remain true to the organization’s values and member-focused approach.
“Del Norte Credit Union is, and always will be, dedicated to uplifting New Mexico,” Molenda said. “Our newest branch brings our Authentically New Mexico vision to life—meeting our neighbors where they are and supporting their financial goals with thoughtful service and impactful resources. We are thrilled to deepen our roots in Rio Rancho and continue investing in the communities we serve.”
In addition to expanding its physical footprint, Del Norte Credit Union continues to strengthen its local presence through community partnerships that reflect shared values. The credit union recently announced a partnership with the New Mexico Goatheads, the state’s newest professional hockey team, as the organization prepares for its inaugural season later this year.
“Partnering with the Goatheads is a natural fit for us,” Molenda added. “Hockey fans and credit unions share a similar DNA when it comes to teamwork, community, and winning together. The Goatheads have an exciting year ahead, and we’re grateful to be part of it.”
