SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) is inviting the public to attend an in-person meeting to provide input on the NM 554 El Rito Bridge Replacement Project from 6–7:30 p.m., Thursday Oct. 2, 2025, at El Rito Public Library, 182 Placitas Rd (State Rd 215), El Rito, NM 87530.
The existing bridge is in poor condition and is being replaced to improve safety, maintain access, and meet current engineering standards. During the meeting, NMDOT representatives will review the proposed bridge design, explain any potential traffic and access impacts, and answer questions from the public.
We want to hear from you! Public comments will be accepted through Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, via the project website or at the public meeting.
